What we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Steps taken on this site include:

• A skip-to-content link at the top of every page
• Visible focus indicators on every link, button and form field
• Full keyboard operability — no action requires a mouse
• Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning
• Form fields with associated labels rather than placeholder text alone
• Text and background colour combinations chosen to meet contrast minimums
• No feature that depends on motion or animation to work

Where we may fall short

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a finished state. Parts of this site may not yet meet every criterion, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise.
